Book List Two
2002-05-22 @ 10:00 a.m.

Okay, Badsnake has finally gone through the books, and Jake got a chance at them too. So here is a new list of books you can have as well as an update on what's left of the first list.

I've also got a stack of old On Our Backs magazines. The most recent are from 1998, and I found an old one from 1984 (I think I was still been married to my ex-husband then!). It's a big stack so I'll split it up between two or three of you. I forgot to mention the mags to the family, so Sara, Jake, if you want me to save a few for you, let me know. (Jake, I found an old copy of Bound and Gagged that I held onto for you if you want it.)

Amazons: Erotic Exploration of Ancient Myths by Tammy Jo Eckhart (1997)

Sex and Love: New Thoughts on Old Contradictions edited by Sue Cartledge and Joanna Ryan (1984)

A Contagious Evil: The Mind of a Serial Killer - a novel of horror and suspense by Larry Townsend (1998) uncorrected proof copy

Back in the Day by Deardria A. Nesbitt (1996) - African-American lesbian erotic novel

Eleven Steps to the Inner Orgasm: the G-Spot by Joy Lynn Lesbian Edition (1989)

Best Gay Erotica 1998 edited by Richard Labonte

Best Gay Erotica 1999 edited by Richard Labonte

Best Gay Erotica 1996 edited by Michael Ford

Surburban Hustler: Stories of a Hi-Tech Callboy by Aaron Lawrence (1999)

Come Hither: A Commonsense Guide to Kinky Sex by Dr. Gloria G. Brame (2000)

Different Loving: An Exploration of the World of Sexual Dominance and Submission by Gloria Brame, William D. Brame and Jon Jacobs (1993) - This is a big book packed with kinky info. For the most part it's pretty basic.

Just a Little Lie by Kate Allen (1999) - This one's actually a mystery novel, not erotica, that takes place at an S/M leather convention.

Rarely Pure and Never Simple: Selected Essay of Scott O'Hara by Scott O'Hara (1999) - Scott is (was) interesting. He was one of few HIV+ men who publicly advocated anonymous unprotected public sex. He was the publisher of Steam magazine when it was around. It was an erotic mag for gay men that always listed places to find anonymous public sex in various cities. (Did you know that the Damron guide, gay travel guide, used to list public bathrooms in various cities where gay men could find sex partners? In Atlanta they listed the men's room of the old Sears Building. Of course that's now City Hall East, so I wouldn't recommend it.)

Susie Bright's Sexwise by Susie Bright (1995)

Susie Sexpert's Lesbian Sex World by Susie Bright (1990) - Susie used to edit On Our Backs. Now she lives with a man. It's a queer, queer world out there.

Susie Bright's Sexual Reality: A Virtual Sex World Reader by Susie Bright (1992) - No I'm not getting rid of all of these because of the statement above. I respect her life choices and she is still one of the smartest women discussing sex out there. Some of these are duplicate copies.

Still left from last list.

Sexual/Textual Politics: Feminist Literary Theory by Toril Moi (1985)

Feminine Sexuality by Jacques Lacan (1982) - I wonder if anybody still uses this one and the one above in literature classes as a textbook.

The Fermata by Nicholson Baker (1994)

Short Rides by Wendy Borgstrom (1992) - soft core lesbian erotic stories.

Sex Wars: Sexual Dissent and Political Culture by Lisa Duggan and Nan D. Hunter (1995)

A Woman's Experience of Sex by Sheila Kitzinger (1985)

There you go kids. What can I send you?
