Deck Debauchery
2002-05-28 @ 12:15 p.m.

If someone had been writing a porn story of our lives yesterday evening, we probably would have all wound up in bed in a puppy pile at the end of the evening. Come to think of it, if Sara had been writing the script we probably would have been puppy piling.

It was one of those times when everyone seemed to be ready to cut loose together. Sara had a long week, and she was in for some intense relaxation time. When I got home from work all three of my girls were on the deck topless. Turns out Sara had been sitting outside topless, so Badsnake and Jake decided it would be a nice treat for me if they were all topless when I got to the deck. They are so good to me.

I got a glass of wine and a book and joined them on the deck as soon as I could. My book got neglected, however, because Jake had pulled out the stack of old On Our Backs magazines. I went for one of them instead, and I found the most wonderful article on Dyke Daddies! I wish I could transcribe the whole article for all of you here (I'm sending you a copy, darlin'). When I have more time maybe I'll tell you more about it. I related to it so strongly I couldn't put it down. We had wonderful conversation going on, but I kept going back to the article. I've never ready anything that treated Daddy play so seriously and so well. Sara pointed out that I'd bought the mag about 15 years ago (ten actually) and was just now finding the article I was enjoying so much. But ten years ago I'm not sure I would have gotten it quite so strongly. I kept wanting to read parts of it out loud and finally quit because I decided they all had to read it for themselves.

Bad and Sara were reading romance novels. Jake and I were reading lesbian smut. Maybe that contributed to the looseness of the evening. We had the radio on with dance music playing, occasionally we danced (dirty dancin') on the deck. Jake and Bad seemed to stay relatively sober as I got tipsy and Sara got toasted. (Maybe if I had kissed Sara when I was dancing with her like I thought about doing . . .)

We grilled (since everyone else does on Memorial Day) hamburgers. I made some baked beans (2 cans pork and beans, a good spash each of ketchup and mustard, a chopped onion, a small handful of brown sugar and a few strips of bacon on top, baked at 350 for 30 to 45 minutes), and we put corn on the cob on the grill with the burgers. It was all good. We stayed on the deck to eat supper and then had ice cream for dessert. It was a lovely cool evening, perfect for dinner outside.

We all calmed down as the evening wore down, and we finished up one of the best weekends I've had at home in a long time.

All is well at the Rancho.
