I want to trust people. I have a very strong tendency, in fact, to trust people most of the time. I guess I'm just naive. I really hate to give up that desire to trust people. But I just had a co-worker, whom I thought was a friend throw me on the coals to cover her own butt. I don't do that to anyone, friend or not. I try to take responsibility for my own decisions. So now I know what to expect from her. I hate finding out that way. I guess if I didn't want so much to trust people, it wouldn't be quite so disappointing when I find out I can't.
